  – Perusahaan telekomunikasi, Ericsson, memprediksi perkembangan penggunaan broadband pesat seiring pengaplikasiannya pada perangkat rumah tangga.
“Penggunaan broadband akan berkembang pesat, terutama penggunaan mobile broadband,” kata Presiden Direktur Ericsson Indonesia, Arun Bansai, di Bandung, Sabtu.
Penggunaan broadband akan berkembang tidak hanya pada personal computer dan telepon genggam tetapi juga pada peralatan-peralatan pendukung kehidupan manusia.
Atas alasan perkembangan tersebut maka Ericsson memiliki prediksi bahwa 50 miliar perangkat terhubung dengan broadband di dunia pada tahun 2020.
Di tahun 2010, Core and IMS Ericsson Indonesia, Sigit Priyanggoro menyebutkan telah ada empat hingga lima miliar peralatan terkoneksi dengan broadband. Angka itu akan terus bertambah seiring perubahan perilaku konsumen yang menginginkan perangkat mereka terkoneksi.
Tiga hal yang menjadi penyebab konsumen broadband meningkat pesat, ujar dia, manusia membutuhkan kenyamanan untuk menunjang gaya hidupnya, kebutuhan untuk menjadi lebih efisien dalam usaha, serta kebutuhan berpendidikan hingga kesehatan.
Karena itu, menurut dia, telekomunikasi akan merubah industri lain seperti kesehatan, transportasi, media, pemerintah, dan utilitas.
Akibatnya, ada efisiensi dalam pelaksanaan pemerintahan, bisnis baru akan bermunculan, pertumbuhan pesat industri, kehidupan yang berkesinambungan.
“Peralatan seperti kulkas, kompor, mobil, nanti akan terkoneksi dengan telpon pintar kita berkat mobile broadband tadi,” katanya.
Semua itu, membutuhkan teknologi komunikasi bergerak yang memungkinkan transfer data berukuran besar secara cepat dengan cara yang efisien dan hemat biaya melalui optimalisasi penggunaan spektrum frekuensi.
Long Term Evolution (LTE), menurut dia, menjadi solusi untuk memenuhi hal tersebut, sayangnya pemanfaatannya dalam waktu dekat di Indonesia tidak memungkinkan, mengingat pemerintah belum melakukan pengaturan frekuensi.
“Saya rasa operator siap mengaplikasikan LTE, permasalahannya hanya pengaturan frekuensi saja dan itu menjadi kewenangan pemerintah. Mungkin 2013 itu baru bisa dilakukan,” ungkap dia.
Saat ini, ia menambahkan, perusahaan telekomunikasi ini telah menandatangani kontrak komersial LTE dengan lima operator di dunia, yakni AT&T dari Amerika Serikat (AS), Verizon di AS, TeliaSonera di Norwegia dan Swedia, MetroPCS di AS, dan DoCoMo di Jepang.(V002/A038)

A $140 million syndicated loan for Excelcomindo for telecommunications expansion was announced recently. St. Miguel Corp. of the Philippines is competing with a US-led consortium to clinch a $1.3 billion coal supply deal, to buy PT Bumi Resources from Bakri Brothers. Standard and Poors is holding Indonesian credit ratings stable and its credit rating may even be raised. Singapore could slip into recession but Indonesia will not, and the reason is mostly sheer size plus improved financial and economic management.
Indonesia is in a key position as the largest Muslim country in the world with a population of 230 million and a land area of 1.9 million square kilometers.
The Indonesian Gross Domestic Product was $843.7 billion in terms of purchasing power and $432.9 billion in terms of official exchange rates in 2007. It has fixed foreign investment of $57.6 billion and holds $9 billion of investment in other countries. It has more than 3,500 millionaires holding over $100 million each, of whom 70 percent live in Jakarta.
Its current economic growth is 6.5 percent and may fall below 6 percent in 2009 due to reduced exports. Government will stimulate growth using the national budget which already reached $100 billion in 2008. Government is confident it can hold growth at 6 percent. The World Bank has set aside a $2 billion standby loan for 2009 only to be triggered if growth falls below 5.8 percent.
In 2007 Indonesian exports were $118 billion and imports $86 billion, a trade surplus of $32 billion, and foreign exchange reserves as of this month were $50 billion.
Indonesia has already lost some jobs in sectors like textiles. Some exports to the US and Europe fell in the fourth quarter. The stock market, government bonds and the national currency also fell in value during the global financial crash in the first week of October.
The government launched a securities buy-back program spearheaded by state-owned enterprises and defended the rupiah currency by intervening in the currency market via the Bank of Indonesia. The government also took steps to increase liquidity and focused on getting inflation under control and on maintaining growth.
The government has increased guarantees on personal deposits to 2 billion rupiahs ($190,000), which covers 100 percent of deposits for over 99.7 percent of 81 million bank accounts.
Indonesian banks are strong, with adequate reserves, low non-performing loans and almost no exposure to subprime losses. Only a small group of investors lost money on Lehman-related instruments purchased via international banks.
The Indonesian inflation rate is declining from a high of 12 percent to maybe 9 percent by January with reductions planned to between 9 percent and 7 percent for the rest of 2009. The bank rate is being stabilized at 9.5 percent after six months of consecutive rises. It will be held for a while and then reduced to 7.5 percent in 2009.
Indonesian bonds are recovering from their recent nose-dive and the stock market is stabilizing. Local economists say the stock market was over-valued and more normal values and returns will be restored as part of the local share trading cycle.
The government is now focusing on trying to mobilize its massive $115 billion dollar national budget for 2009, up from $100 billion in 2008, to push projects and overall spending forward and help substitute local demand for declines in exports, with every hope of keeping economic growth for 2009 at between 5.5 and 6.0 percent.
Despite the collapse of the Bank of Indonesia subsidiary Indover Bank in the Netherlands, there is no sovereign default. Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati and the new central bank governor, Boediono, have taken a stand against previous mismanagement.

Following the election of US President-elect Barack Obama there is likely to be a slow recovery in confidence in the United States financial and banking system. A recession is unavoidable in the US and EU, but with only a downturn in developing countries. This crisis of confidence in the Western banking and financial system comes during the dying days of the most unpopular American presidency in living memory. Financial mismanagement and weak regulatory frameworks have devastated the US economy, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Two million Americans may lose their homes. Millions in the US and Europe will lose their jobs.
Yet the devastating legacy of the Bush presidency leaves open great opportunities for Indonesia, the Muslim world and the developing countries of the South.
Indonesia can play a key role in leading the Muslim world toward economic recovery, and help minimize the impact of global recession.
First, by managing its national economy to maintain growth, demand, imports and exports. The nominal Gross Domestic Product for 2009 is projected at $547 billion. Indonesia is already in the top 20 economies of the world.
Indonesia is currently overtaking Belgium and Sweden. It will soon overtake Turkey, the Netherlands and Austria as it enormous size, resources and population come into play. It is a strong candidate to join the top 10 economies in the world within two decades.
Second, by mobilizing investment for oil, gas, energy projects, biofuels, infrastructure (roads, railways, ports), manufacturing and retailing sectors. It needs over $40 billion for electricity alone, to finance an additional 40,000 MWe of power by 2025. Indonesia will become a nuclear power, and plans four power stations. Total foreign investment needed overall during the next 15 years exceeds $100 billion.
Investment is still coming from the US and EU (including Eastern Europe) but increasingly from the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China), and also from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation countries like Canada, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and from Association of Southeast Asian Nations member states (including Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand). Investment is also coming in greater volume from the Gulf Arab states, Israel and South Africa.
Third, Indonesia can help lead Muslim economies by using its economic size and prestige as a member of the United Nations Security Council to join Brazil, Russia, India, China and Southern countries to bring about changes in policies and in the balance of power in world organizations dealing with trade, finance and development, especially the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO).
Indonesia has major reservations about the IMF following its own experience in 1998. German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck said that the world should not slip into creating a shadow world economic government run by an inner IMF council. Indonesia is also tired of being kept on the fringes in the WTO.
Asia and Southern countries want a new deal. Muslim countries collectively represent an increasingly important source of capital, while Western liquidity has partly dried up. Muslim economies represent important investment sources as well as investment destinations. The collective size of Muslim economies represents significant demand for Western goods and services, relatively unaffected by the recession in the West.
Indonesia can still deploy export credits, sovereign funds, Islamic finance and other non-traditional financial sources, such as environmental funds and carbon credits. Despite the global downturn Indonesia is still pulling in some bank finance.

For the uplink, the study item recommended a single-carrier-based frequency-division multiple access (FDMA) solution with dynamic bandwidth. This approach allows for a power-efficient implementation of the user terminal. The basic parameters, such as subframe and TTI, match those of the downlink.

The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is specifying the long-term evolution of third-generation cellular systems to meet demands for higher user bit rates. Ericsson has thus developed a test bed to evaluate new access technologies and to investigate the suitability of new implementation technologies for future radio-access products.
The authors explain the access concept and anticipated requirements for LTE and describe the test-bed system, architecture, subsystems, and technology.
Background
In September 2006, 3GPP finalized a study item called Evolved UTRA and UTRAN. The purpose of the study was to define the long-term evolution (LTE) of 3GPP access technology in order to keep it competitive even in the distant future. A corresponding work item is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2007. The 3GPP also conducted a parallel study, called System Architecture Evolution (SAE), to outline the evolution of the core network.
Introduction to LTE
The 3GPP study item began by setting requirements and defining the scope of LTE.
Examples of these requirements are

One of my friend got assigned to work 1 month in Italy. So he left his pregnant wife in Jakarta. For his taken family time, our office gives allowance.
Two months earlier, our allowance is tax free, only 15% cut for breakfast fee. But now, its different…tax authorities put their nose snooping around.

Kata Bangsat!!! dan Goblok!!! diatas pada dasarnya hanya merupakan umpatan egois dari seorang warga negara. foto:Ari Saputra/detikcom Jakarta – Bak durian runtuh saja, 5 mantan anggota Dewan Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI) dan sejumlah anggota DPR menikmati Rp 100 miliar uang rakyat dengan cuma-cuma. Itulah pengakuan besan SBY yang merupakan Ketua Panitia Sosial Kemasyarakat (PSK) Aulia Pohan yang membagi-bagikan uang itu.
“Kepada Sudrajat Djiwandono sebesar Rp 25 miliar, Iwan R Prawiranata Rp 13,5 miliar, Paul Sutopo Rp 10 miliar, Heru Supratomo Rp 10 miliar, Hendro Budiarto Rp 10 miliar,” ungkap Aulia Pohan di Pengadilan Tipikor, Jl HR Rasuna Said, Jakarta, Rabu (16/7/2008).
Total 5 eks pejabat itu menikmati Rp 68,5 miliar. Lalu sisa uang lainnya dialirkan ke DPR terkait kasus BLBI dan diseminasi amandemen UU BI.
“Rp 15 miliar untuk BLBI. Rp 16,5 miliar itu untuk diseminasi intensif pengawasan dan isu-isu amandemen Undang-undang BI,” kata mertua Agus Baskoro Yudhoyono itu.
“Diberikan cuma-cuma tanpa ada kewajiban untuk mengembalikan?” tanya hakim Moerdiono.
“Betul, Pak,” kata Aulia yang sudah berusia 63 tahun itu.
Uang Rp 100 miliar itu dibagi melalui Yayasan Pengembangan Perbankan Indonesia (YPPI) yang struktur pengurusnya diisi pejabat-pejabat BI. Aulia Pohan duduk sebagai Dewan Pengawas YPPI. Kemudian untuk melegalisasi pengeluaran sebesar itu, Dewan Gubernur BI memutuskan pembentukan Panitia Sosial Kemasyarakatan yang diketuai Aulia.

Setiap bulan, gaji gw dipotong gede-gedean sama Pemerintah Indonesia. “Lunasi Pajaknya, Awasi Penggunaannya”, begitu kata orang Kantor Pajak. Tidak bermaksud apa-apa, tapi tiap bulan potongan pajak gw sampe Rp. Xjt-an, jelas jumlah yang sangat besar sekali. Pengorbanan waktu yang seharusnya dipakai untuk keluarga yang dipakai bekerja lembur memang diganjar uang OT di kantor gw, tapi sekali lagi, Pemerintah Indonesia main sunat atas hasil kerja gw. Bangsat!!!
Pajak untuk Pemerintah Indonesia bisa menyamar dalam berbagai bentuk. BPHTB, AJB, IMB, PPN dan segala macam singkatan khas kreasi Pemerintah Indonesia. Beli rumah dengan DP Rp. xxjt, mendapat pajak seharga (+/-) Rp. xxjt. Goblok!!!
Kata Bangsat!!! dan Goblok!!! diatas pada dasarnya hanya merupakan umpatan egois dari seorang warga negara. Hidup menjadi warga negara memang harus kena pajak… toh infrastruktur berupa jalan, sarana sosial-masyarakat, penerangan jalan tol, rel kereta api, subsidi BBM, pemeliharaan warga tak mampu – yang kesemuanya ditanggung pemerintah toh berasal dari pajak. Pajak pada akhirnya dinikmati oleh para pembayarnya.
Apa betul demikian? Pengalaman sehari-hari: lubang-lubang dijalanan tetap sangat banyak dijumpai, semakin hari lubangnya semakin dalam bahkan sampai merenggut korban jiwa (Om Sophan Sofyan – korban yang terkenal aja… biar keliatan, kalo Pak Supri yang disebutin, ntar disangkat tokoh fiktif). Lampu merah – lampu hijau pada gak bener… gila!!! Orang miskin boro-boro dibiayai pemerintah.. gak usah dibahas, liat sendiri aja di jalanan… sarana sosial-masyarakat??? Sekarang gw lagi bikin Akte Kelahiran bwt Aimee, ternyata lama pembuatan tergantung variabel Rupiah yang diberikan: Rp. 75rb jadi sebulan, Rp. 350rb jadi 2 hari. Dasar orang pemerintahan imbisil semua!!!!

90/10 Principle of Stephen Covey
Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life :
(at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle?
10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control your reaction. Don’t let people fool you; YOU can control how you react. Let’s take an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day? A) Did the coffee cause it?B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is “D”.
You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say,” It’s ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time”. Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having. Notice the difference? Two different scenarios.
Both started the same.
Both ended different.
Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don’t be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don’t have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc. How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work ? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it. You are told you lost your job. BARCELONA, KOMPAS.com – Pada ajang GSMA Mobile World Congress di
Barcelona, Spanyol, Ericsson memecahkan rekor dunia dengan menampilkan
transfer data melalui teknologi Long Term Evolution (LTE) atau 4G
dengan kecepatan hingga 1 gigabit per detik untuk downlink.
Demonstrasi untuk pertamakalinya di dunia ini memanfaatkan teknologi
Multi Carrier dan Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output, MIMO, dan berjalan
pada LTE komersial dari Ericsson. Dengan menggabungkan teknologi
tersebut, kecepatan hingga 1 gigabit per detik dapat dicapai.
Demonstrasi menggunakan empat jaringan dengan lebar pita masing-masing
20MHz, sehingga total lebar pita yang digunakan 80MHz dan 4×4 MIMO,
data dikirim melalui interface over the air pada empat bit-stream yang
independen.
LTE, teknologi komunikasi bergerak masa depan, memungkinkan transfer
data berukuran besar secara cepat dengan cara yang efisien dan hemat
biaya melalui optimalisasi penggunaan spektrum frekuensi. Dengan
peningkatan kecepatan dan pemangkasan latensi, konsumer dapat
menikmati berbagai aplikasi seperti web secara realtime, game online,
kolaborasi media sosial, dan konferensi video dengan lebih mudah
kapanpun dan di manapun berada. LTE akan memenuhi kebutuhan
aplikasi-aplikasi internet bergerak yang baru dan lebih canggih di
masa yang akan datang.
“Misi kami adalah menghubungkan 50 miliar perangkat pada 2020. Seluruh
perangkat dan setiap keadaan yang menguntungkan saat terhubung
seharusnya menjadi satu. Pasien-pasien dapat berkomunikasi dengan
rumah sakit dari jarak jauh, mahasiswa dari daerah-daerah terpencil
akan berhubungan dengan universitas-universitas di seluruh dunia; para
pekerja keselamatan akan mengirim video langsung dari wilayah yang
terkena bencana demi respon yang lebih efisien,” kata Johan Wibergh,
head of Networks and Executive Vice President, dalam rilis pers yang
diterima Kompas.com, Kamis (17/2/2010).
Saat ini, Ericsson telah menandatangani kontrak komersial LTE dengan
lima operator terkemuka di dunia yakni AT&T di Amerika Serikat ,
Verizon di Amerika Serikat , TeliaSonera di Norwegia dan Swedia,
MetroPCS di Amerika Serikat dan DoCoMo di Jepang.

Jakarta – Layanan Long Term Evolution (LTE) komersial pertama dan terbesar di dunia sebelumnya diklaim telah diluncurkan oleh TeliaSonera dan Ericsson di Stockholm, Swedia.
Seakan tak mau kalah, operator telekomunikasi di Amerika Serikat, AT&T, kini juga tengah bersiap merilis layanan yang digadang-gadang sebagai format dari teknologi 4G ini.
Setelah melakukan pengujian secara ektensif perangkat-perangkat dari berbagai pemasok di laboratorium dan di lapangan, AT&T memilih untuk melanjutkan kerjasama dengan Ericsson untuk mengimplementasikan LTE.
Sebagai bagian dari kesepakatan jangka panjang, Ericsson menjadi pemasok perangkat jaringan LTE sekaligus serangkaian layanan dalam desain, deploy, dan optimalisasi jaringan LTE.
AT&T berencana melakukan uji coba lapangan utuk teknologi LTE pada akhir 2010 dan implementasi secara komersial dijadwalkan akan dimulai pada 2011.
“AT&T memiliki keunggulan penting dalam LTE yang merupakan sebuah evolusi dari teknologi GSM yang mendukung jaringan kami serta mayoritas infrastruktur nirkabel di dunia saat ini,” kata John Stankey, presiden & CEO, AT&T Operations dalam keterangannya, Sabtu (13/2/2010).
AT&T sendiri telah melayani lebih dari 85,1 juta pelanggan dan telah melihat pertumbuhan pita lebar bergerak yang mencapai 5000 persen dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Smartphone hanyalah menjadi salah satu contoh inovasi yang dihasilkan dari investasi dalam teknologi pita lebar bergerak.

BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com – Jika kini kita mengenal teknologi broadband 3G, sebentar lagi era teknologi Long Term Evolution (LTE) atau yang akan sering disebut 4G akan datang. Kecepatan tinggi dalam berselancar di internet, video call, hingga aplikasi internet di berbagai device dengan lancar bukan impian lagi.
LTE adalah teknologi mobile broadband dengan kecepatan rata-rata 20-40 Mbps dan maksimum 150 Mbps. Teknologi ini akan menjadi teknologi mobile broadband terakhir setelah HSPA Evolution yang kita kenal sekarang ini. Indra dari Ericsson Indonesia mengatakan teknologi LTE memang catatan kecepatannya tidak jauh berbeda dengan teknologi HSPA+ yang berkecepatan sampai 21 Mbps.
“Memang enggak jauh berbeda tapi lebih efisien karena yang 21 Mbps itu susah dicari networknya,” tuturnya di Technology Corner Ericsson Indonesia di Hotel Sheraton Bandung, Jumat (5/3/2010).
Tak hanya bagi pengguna, teknologi ini juga menguntungkan bagi operator karena LTE seperti jalan tol yang mampu memuat apa saja program dan aplikasi yang ada untuk disampaikan kepada pengguna. Dengan sekali investasi, hasil yang diperoleh berkualitas tinggi dan efisien. “Kalau sudah 4G, apapun aplikasi bisa kita masukkan,” tegas Customer Technology Director Ericsson Indonesia Ronni Nurmal.
Ronni menambahkan peluang penggunaan IPTV, serta aplikasi seperti internet banking dan telemedicine akan makin mudah dan cepat.

Saat ini, Ericsson sudah menandatangani kontrak dengan enam operator telepon seluler di dunia untuk LTE, yaitu AT&T, Verizon dan MetroPCS dari Amerika Serikat, Teliasonera dari Norwegia dan Swedia serta DoCoMo dari Jepang.
Di Indonesia sendiri pemerintah menargetkan implementasi telekomunikasi 4G pada tahun 2013. Namun, harapannya masih samar karena frekuensi area 4G sudah dijual pemerintah kepada sejumlah televisi berlangganan.
“Kalau benar-benar mau diimplementasikan, Depkominfo harus menata ulang frekuensi. Televisi berlangganan juga pasti tak mungkin mau begitu saja karena mereka sudah bayar mahal,” tutur Core and IMS Ericsson Indonesia Sigit Priyanggoro.

Bandung (ANTARA News) – Perusahaan telekomunikasi, Ericsson, memprediksi perkembangan penggunaan broadband pesat seiring pengaplikasiannya pada perangkat rumah tangga.
“Penggunaan broadband akan berkembang pesat, terutama penggunaan mobile broadband,” kata Presiden Direktur Ericsson Indonesia, Arun Bansai, di Bandung, Sabtu.
Penggunaan broadband akan berkembang tidak hanya pada personal computer dan telepon genggam tetapi juga pada peralatan-peralatan pendukung kehidupan manusia.
Atas alasan perkembangan tersebut maka Ericsson memiliki prediksi bahwa 50 miliar perangkat terhubung dengan broadband di dunia pada tahun 2020.
Di tahun 2010, Core and IMS Ericsson Indonesia, Sigit Priyanggoro menyebutkan telah ada empat hingga lima miliar peralatan terkoneksi dengan broadband. Angka itu akan terus bertambah seiring perubahan perilaku konsumen yang menginginkan perangkat mereka terkoneksi.
Tiga hal yang menjadi penyebab konsumen broadband meningkat pesat, ujar dia, manusia membutuhkan kenyamanan untuk menunjang gaya hidupnya, kebutuhan untuk menjadi lebih efisien dalam usaha, serta kebutuhan berpendidikan hingga kesehatan.
Karena itu, menurut dia, telekomunikasi akan merubah industri lain seperti kesehatan, transportasi, media, pemerintah, dan utilitas.
Akibatnya, ada efisiensi dalam pelaksanaan pemerintahan, bisnis baru akan bermunculan, pertumbuhan pesat industri, kehidupan yang berkesinambungan.
“Peralatan seperti kulkas, kompor, mobil, nanti akan terkoneksi dengan telpon pintar kita berkat mobile broadband tadi,” katanya.
Semua itu, membutuhkan teknologi komunikasi bergerak yang memungkinkan transfer data berukuran besar secara cepat dengan cara yang efisien dan hemat biaya melalui optimalisasi penggunaan spektrum frekuensi.
Long Term Evolution (LTE), menurut dia, menjadi solusi untuk memenuhi hal tersebut, sayangnya pemanfaatannya dalam waktu dekat di Indonesia tidak memungkinkan, mengingat pemerintah belum melakukan pengaturan frekuensi.
“Saya rasa operator siap mengaplikasikan LTE, permasalahannya hanya pengaturan frekuensi saja dan itu menjadi kewenangan pemerintah. Mungkin 2013 itu baru bisa dilakukan,” ungkap dia.
Saat ini, ia menambahkan, perusahaan telekomunikasi ini telah menandatangani kontrak komersial LTE dengan lima operator di dunia, yakni AT&T dari Amerika Serikat (AS), Verizon di AS, TeliaSonera di Norwegia dan Swedia, MetroPCS di AS, dan DoCoMo di Jepang.(V002/A038)

Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don’t be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don’t have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc. How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work ? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it. You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job. But we should point out that what vendors have said publicly and what analysts see behind the scenes is sometimes at odds. According to recent research by TeleGeography Inc. , Huawei is leading the LTE pack. Telegeography found that the Chinese vendor had a 36 percent share of LTE commercial contracts in terms of the number of contracts signed, while Ericsson and Nokia Siemens each had 16 percent, followed by Alcatel-Lucent with 14 percent.
While Huawei had the highest number of LTE contracts, however, Telegeography said that Ericsson was the leading vendor in terms of the size and value of LTE contracts.
The list of LTE equipment vendors won’t be a group of eight for much longer, as Nokia Siemens Networks is about to complete the $1.2B acquisition of Motorola Inc. After a busy year of cutthroat competition for Long Term Evolution (LTE) deals, it’s time to catch up with the group of eight LTE infrastructure vendors — aka, the “LTE G8″ — to take stock of their customer wins.

Nokia Siemens Networks appears to have the most LTE deals compared to its rivals. The vendor claims to have 22 “commercial references” for LTE, which includes 20 radio access network (RAN) contracts, 10 deals for Evolved Packet Core (EPC), and one contract for IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) for voice over LTE, which is with Verizon Wireless . This phone was a luxury back then. Color screen, polyphonic tone, MMS, GPRS (never use it though, very expensive), no 3G but support (3G handsets back then was kind of “elite-people-only” gadget). Very proud to use it, furthermore I bought it using my very first money earned.
But the end of the story is quite bad. Because I only use this phone in “passive mode” – meaning only to receive SMS and – in very rare moment – receive calls, I always put this phone in my backpack. So it was being pickpocket-ed (how to say “kecopetan” in English??) in an Angkot (how to say “angkot” in English??) one day*sigh*. Not a happy ending.
My second cellphone is the sexy Motorola V3 RAZR.
